For well over a century, scholars have sought to uncover the historical Jesus of Nazareth, going behind the
traditions, doctrines, and legends that soon formed around his life. This study seeks to examine the world in
which Jesus lived, the ideas and worldviews which were then current, and what we can know from the findings
of archaeology and modern biblical scholarship to reconstruct a credible picture of who Jesus was, what he
did, and what he believed.
The result? A Jewish apocalyptic prophet, anticipating the imminent fulfillment of the divine promises to Israel
and entranced by his mystical apprehension of the Kingdom of God ... Join us for this fascinating study.
