Uneasy Partners:
The Dance of Science and Religion in Angels & Demons
"Before The Da Vinci Code was broken, the world lay at the mercy of Angels & Demons ..."
Many who have enjoyed The Da Vinci Code have found its prequel Angels & Demons to be an even better
story. Set in Rome, it tells a tale of a race against time, and of an underground secret society with a centuries-
old vendetta against the Catholic Church and with access to a new technology of unimaginable potential for
destruction. While the Code raised fascinating questions concerning Christianity's past, Angels & Demons
fascinates many because it raises questions about its future -- about the uneasy relationship between the
world of traditional religious faith and the "brave new world" of science and technology ...
- Why is there such distrust between the scientific and religious communities?
- Are the scientific and religious worldviews incompatible? If not, how can they relate to one another?
- What should religion expect of science? What should science expect of religion?
- Is there the possibility of a partnership between science and religion in the search for truth and the
betterment of human life?
- Why do the lessons of Angels & Demons matter so much?
